About My Hero Academia (Japanese: Boku no Hero Academia) is a wildly popular shōnen anime and manga series that blends superhero action, emotional storytelling, and coming-of-age themes into one explosive world.

The World

Set in a future where around 80% of the population is born with superpowers called “Quirks,” society has reorganized around heroes and villains. Professional Heroes are licensed, trained, and celebrated—while villains threaten the fragile balance of peace.

Not having a Quirk is rare… and seen as a weakness.

The Story

The series follows Izuku Midoriya (Deku), a Quirkless boy who dreams of becoming the world’s greatest hero. Despite being told it’s impossible, his determination catches the attention of All Might, the Symbol of Peace and the world’s #1 Hero.
